Ricky runs very good routes all the same. He's not getting targeted. He should have had a TD last week of not got a poorly under thrown ball. There's zero chemistry there right now. Took JSN and Geno two yrs to get there.

BA was elite last yr across the board on a per reception stat. He was an elite blocker. He can play any spot. Shakir is a slot only WR and flowers is most successful out of the slot as well. BA is a true split end WR.

I agree they have quality OLs, acting like SF's OL has been awful is actually not true.

if the only way your QB can be good is to have someone like Justin Jefferson than that's even more evidence that he's not an elite level QB imo.

Aiyuk is overrated by our fanbase, and the entire team got overrated and got the avengers label after Brock took over

Truth is Aiyuk wasn't even mentioned as one of our weapons going into 2023. Juice would get pumped up as some monster weapon before Aiyuk would because of his all pro status. Brock basically made Aiyuk. Being able to line up on the outside doesn't make him better than Shakir and Flowers

Jefferson is just an example. Jefferson's #2 receiver would be an upgrade over Aiyuk. That's how bad it is

old enough to remember when everyone b***hed about drafting a WR in the 1st.

where is Allen/Mahomes/herbert/jackson's elite WR1?

if anything it SHOWS how much BA mattered to Brock….ya'll got caught up in your feelings instead of looked at it like a business and what he brought to the table.

I think Brock is a good QB who NEEDS to have a plethora of talent around him. That should be factored when we discuss contracts. It won't be, but it should.

So f**king dumb

The takes on here are just so f**king stupid that I dnt even want to read or scroll anymore. Ppl just dnt f**king get it, some do, most don't. At least on here. Ya all can trash/b***h about the Niners, Kyle, Purdy and everyone else till next season and whine about Purdy's contract till the cows come home. 🐄 💩 🎻

He doesn't need to be a Jefferson. He needs to be Shedeur.

Sorry, misread NY's original post.

Most of our fan base actually hates him…where the hell you been?

I don't care about before 2023. He finally got the targets and became Brock's #1 target. You complain about separation, he was literally one of the best in the league last yr, we all know this. His Y/R was insane. Great blocker. Only had two dropped balls.

Your argument is so flawed, Brock made BA yet Brock is stinking it up without him this yr and you're complaining about our WRs? If brock was in the business of "making" WRs then he would doing this yr all the same. Instead you're blaming everything else besides his own inconsistent play…which is exactly what's it's been.

s**t hasn't been perfect around him, I won't deny that. He hasn't elevated much of anything this yr though. He's very dependent of the rest of the team being good…which is fine. His contract should reflect that.

We need a #1, Aiyuk is a #2.

No. They need their picks to rebuild the roster with young players. They need to infuse talent into the trenches. They need as many rookie contracts as possible

We're gonna be drafting like 15th he's gonna be a top 4 pick. In no way should the be giving up future 1sts (and more) for anyone that's not a QB. This ain't the yr for that anyway. Brock is the dude and will get paid. Go get the best DL/OL in the first and 2nd.

Yeah, I know - we need to replenish the roster. Out with the old in with the new and healthy bodies throughout the year, so we can compete. Still, think they have to be thinking long and hard on Brock.

Is Brock not making something out of a 7th round Jennings? It's not like he has a whole lot to work with. Our one elite weapon is George Kittle who's not having a bad year either

Brock might need the greatest team ever or maybe we overestimate how good the team needs to be for him. We need a better line first and foremost. I know you have some stats that say they've been okay, but I've also seen stats that say they haven't. All I know is what I see, and the line sucks. We need upgrades at 3 positions. Our best lineman has been a rookie, that's just not acceptable

We could easily land a better receiver than Aiyuk in the draft. We would've upgraded this year if we got that courtland Sutton trade done. Aiyuk isn't that good

JJ has been solid, he's not in the same class as BA. BA was almost 4.5 yards more per reception last yr. You're proving my point with him. BA is very good and turns out he mattered more than people wanted to admit because they were all butt hurt.

We're literally watching how Brock is without having one of the best rosters in football and it's super inconsistent.

Our OL isn't elite, it's far from "sucks"

Great 49ers gift ideas
Brock is the 11th least pressured QB in the league. He has the 3rd highest responsible for pressure rate of all QBs at 22.7% (PFF).

He's consistently trying to play hero ball and push it downfield instead of taking the easy play. He did the same stuff in college and it bit him in the ass.

Yes they should add more talent to the OL, yes always try to find play makers to help the QB. Look I like Brock and I got no problem making him be the guy….buy currently he's not processing/seeing the field like he did last yr. He's forcing s**t, when he doesn't have to. He's gotta be better if he wants to be one of the highest paid players in sports. That's all I'm saying, it's not a hot take. Film and the metrics back it up.

We just need to help out Brock, by having his weapons relatively healthy most of the year, so we can compete, goddamn it.
